A fine and super rare\u00a0silver mounted\u00a0<\/strong>violin bow made by Alfred Lamy.<\/p>\n

With certificate Raffin cabinet – Paris.<\/p>\n

Alfred Lamy died prematurely at the age of 36, but left behind an impressive number of high-quality bows.
<\/strong>Nephew of\u00a0Joseph Alfred Lamy.<\/span><\/p>\n

The superbe stick is round shaped and made from the best pernambuco wood.
The stick is stamped\u00a0 ‘A Voirin fils’.\u00a0
Alll the parts are original,\u00a0 silver mounted.
Good condition.<\/p>\n

Alfred Lamy<\/strong>\u00a0(1886\u20131922) was a\u00a0French<\/a>\u00a0maker of\u00a0bows<\/a>.[1]<\/a><\/sup>[failed verification<\/span><\/a><\/em>]<\/sup><\/p>\n

Son of Joseph Jean Baptiste Lamy was born in\u00a0Mirecourt<\/a>,\u00a0Vosges<\/a>,\u00a0France<\/a>. He was apprenticed in\u00a0Mirecourt<\/a>\u00a0with\u00a0Bazin<\/a>\u00a0and later worked for\u00a0Eugene Cuniot-Hury<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Lamy established his own business around 1919.
He was the nephew of\u00a0Joseph Alfred Lamy<\/a>\u00a0known historically as Lamy p\u00e8re.
Alfred Lamy left a small quantity of very good quality bows. Branded “A.LAMY” or “ALFRED LAMY”.<\/p>\n
