Millant suggests that the letters \u2018FR\u2019 in his brand refer to his wife, M. Fr\u00e9binet. Bows continued to appear under this name for ten years after Simon\u2019s death, presumably due to his wife\u2019s previous close involvement with the business, which enabled her to maintain the shop up until her own death in 1874.
