Description
French silver mounted violin bow by Jerome Thibouville Lamy
A beautiful French silver mounted violin bow made by Jerome Thibouville Lamy, ca. 1930 – certified by J.F. Raffin in Paris.
One of their finest bows : this silver mounted violin bow of JTL is quite well made, and they offer good quality for the money.
A very nice example of French bow making, it was made for Lavest, and stamped ‘Pilot a Paris’ on the stick.
Beautiful ebony frog with pearl eyes and silver button with pearl eye.
The stick is made from the finest brown pernambuco wood and is round shaped,
The total length of the strong stick is around 73.5 cm and the weight of the bow is around 60 gr.
The bow plays easy and accurate, elegant bow, with new hair, leather grip and new winding – All parts original
No cracks or reparations, good curve.
A fantastic violin bow for its price !
